In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Uncovered

According to the official statement, "A mysterious encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The narrative features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Extra Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an unique katana together with multiple objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This release also adds the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
